Recipes With Ebelskiver Pan Browne

Callan School, work?

One of the first things that a typical Italians must face in a foreign land is the language.
The various courses, or pseudo corsettini these facts at home are of little use when there is the need to really interact all day in English, if we add to this the different accents that come together around, especially here in London .
For example, in this situation:
- Add to my exhausted after hours of walking, hungry and hallucinating, in a pub, almost an oasis in a desert of concrete. In plain view that the spilling of polished brass in contact with empty jars, produce a delightful tinkling, ready to deliver abominable amount of precious nectar.
mentally Enjoy sweet and sour taste of an English beer, but come to the fateful moment of choice, start to babble incoherent and meaningless phrases. And being forced to leave, broken, his throat dry, because you know, the British did not recur. -
A nightmare, right?
So, I decided to solve this problem as soon as possible, we decided to try a school in the center, the Callan School, among other things, one of the cheapest in London, frequented mostly by Italians and Spaniards.
The first thing to do is a test, and we discover that the test is collective.
The test is not how you think, nothing in writing, no quizzes, no more. Practically a teacher will explains how their methods and then makes you questions and write down the errors and the promptness with which to respond, to understand the level at which you entered.
So our teacher shoots and asks questions quickly and promptly to repeat what he says, but at some point starts to sneeze furiously.
"I'm sorry, But it's allergy," she says.
A mouth, the faster the brain that is connected, can pronounce:
"Allergy to Italians?"
Still sneezing, which are mixed coughing and laughter choked. A slaughterhouse.
After the test we went to reception and we are told that we are in two different classes. I think they really noticed the diversity, and why we were put in different classes.
comes the day of the first trial lesson. We go to class, everyone in his class.
Start the lesson and the teacher makes the call, and is heard uttering the name of an absent look in that case is just the name of my pops. There and then it is ignored, and the lesson begins.
The Callan Method is also based on the intense pace of the lesson, you try not to break, so the teacher leads the class with a brisk pace. At some point, however, someone enters, the door spalacando:
"I'm sorry, wrong number". Looks stunned, speechless teacher, class cut. It 'just my pops.

Since the method relies on a very large number of times to repeat the same questions and same answers, like good Italians who are ill-adapted to package pre-compiled a list of responses that we have in these two weeks of lesson:
"Who is the greatest man in history? "
"The greatest man in history is" a moment of silence "Napoletone. Not even other Italians have understood the joke, or rather assume that they thought that we are ignorant of the greats. And if you do not even understand it, there is a link to this video explanatory, in which our hero Luca Luciani reveals the secret.

"Do you know someone who is Able to speak five languages \u200b\u200bMore Than? The answer
is usually not, but one day: "Yes, I know someone who Could Speak More Than five languages." The teacher astonished: "Who?"
"Google"

Contact with other languages, with people of other nationalities and especially with people of same nationality as we understand one simple thing: We are the Italians
among Italians.

Difference In Saftey Razors

Tips, tricks and tips for finding a home in London

Italians I have seen houses that you can not even imagine.

from another country, in our case from Italy, internet information about rooms for rent is one thing, being here in London and having to really look for is another.
In this post, which is meant to be serious but it will be difficult, here are some tips and tricks to avoid the mistakes that we did, anxious to speed up this research and why not, to find a better location.
From what is my personal experience I do not recommend you to choose a room found on the Internet without having gone to see it for some simple reasons:
- often the photos are not really true or not show the condition of the house, or are of the nineteenth
century - the area should be visited
very carefully - you'll definitely questions to ask about matters which are not covered in the ad
- there are serious chance of being cheated

These are the parameters to consider when choosing a room:
- the price, of course
- cleaning, not only the room but most of the bathroom and kitchen
- the district (district) of London, the crime rate
- Areas (the more you are away from Zone 1, which is the City, plus a subscription to a metro and bus salt)
- as it is served by public transport ( the closer you are to a metro station better)

For the quarter, the only thing on the Internet and inform them about the same quiet, the tenants will tell you more "It's quiet, it's safe even if you saw kids coming in with guns running bike (where we were before http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peckham_Boys ).
also estimate a tour around will make you understand where you have found a minimum, the shops near you, pubs etc..
find a list of neighborhoods in which we talk about security here:
http://www.thelondonlink.net/index.php/Guida-alle-zone -of-London /
At this link you will find a map of crime police officer in London:
http://maps.met.police.uk

With regard to the area is very important distance to the metro, in our case before we were in Zone 2 (in theory closer to the center) but far from the metro station, now we are in Zone 3 to a minute from the bus stop and in time we are much closer to the center now. To address this
find the map of Metro Areas with indicated they belong to:
http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/standard-tube-map.pdf

And here we are finally a to do list of steps to follow to make more effective and productive our research:

  1. just landed in London, get a sim with a local number, so be more likely to be recalled. There is absolutely no need to go to a store official indeed, to our limited experience does not even have to sell sim free phones cellullari. Rather than go in the first shop where you see displayed sim and choose an operator of your choice, usually with the 5 pound've dug. Even better with a pound if you find a vending machine sim like the one we found, somewhat 'hidden in Victoria Station (in this post speak in detail of the story). Buy Now recharge (top up) and you have your beautiful English number working perfectly now.

  2. put an ad on these sites (if you have others do to report and update the list) to write what type of room you need, for how long, How many of you and in what area you are interested in possibly.

probably the best in terms of quantity, I strongly suggest you to leave this for your research (there is also a section to search for work)
    - http : / / www.flatshare.co.uk
in terms of quality seems good, surely there are less than Gumtree ads.
ads arrive by mail only after you have set your search criteria. (In practice, there spamming bad)
on this site, you are many, the problem is that a newly registered user base (basic member) may contact only paying members (premium member). The paying members can contact everyone, but prices start at around £ 10.
we found the last, but we felt it was very good. In addition, the response rate seems much higher than the others.

  3. find some good ads and make an appointment. How? Absolutely not for email, the majority is not responding. The best way is to look for ads with phone number or cell phone and call, possibly from many UK, otherwise you may not be called or not to receive any response. If you have problems with language (like ours:) ) Write a text in which you ask for an appointment.
Council: spammed strong, very strong indeed . Do not be too much trouble! Contact
dozens of numbers, less than half able to set appointments to see houses. Indeed
in London on the rental market is very fast, almost brutal: it is possible that one day the house has already been taken. So, if your ad will be interesting, make an appointment as soon as possible.
  4. When they finally manage to go see an apartment and you are satisfied with the house, location, price, etc.. inquire about these things:
    - the minimum period (usually 3 months) where you have to stay there if you do not respect you usually lose your deposit
    - if the price includes the various bills and council tax (obligatory tax for apartments)
  5. If everything is to your liking and you do not notice anything abnormal Do not hesitate: blocked as soon as possible the house, someone else might be ready to blow.
And finally watch out for scams, we were contacted by several people that brought us good apartments but that in order to make an appointment, we asked for a trial in which proved to have the money to pay using Western Union Money Transfer to move money from one person to another of our knowledge. Of course they are crooks, if you ask for money or evidence of the kind before we see a mysterious apartment close communication!

Italians, Have a good luck!

Men In Womens Underwear Movies

Day 12 - Bye Bye Peckham

Another chapter of our odyssey comes to an end.
After a few days we began to settle in bed and breakfast where we were, in the more remote south London, had in fact known to share with other Italians abandoned misadventures (many) and rewards (a few).
At 10 pm on a dark and dreary day we went to reception to renew the night, as we had already done two times before. To our amazement we were told that the bed and breakfast was completely full and that the following morning by the 11 we had to leave.
Afflicted, we looked at slides Italians, already imagining the cold in the middle of a road. As we would find another place in a few hours and to carry it all? The clock is ticking and we had to find a solution soon.
Like the best British, we decided to talk about it calmly in front of a beer, so as to reflect more clearly.
Fortunately, a few miles from us, stood an imposing another bed and breakfast, run by Indians and populated by Africans who accepted us with love as adopted children. After two trips on foot to carry our heavy luggage (mostly useless) and three narrow flights of stairs (no lift) we were able to take possession of our new home.
Four days in that room temper the mind and body.
Yesterday, the last night, moderately happy for our upcoming re-start, we decided to go early to bed. In the middle of the night, we heard the order:
- two women who came back drunk and fell in the hallway cursing
- a rapper, drunk, coming back listening to loud hip hop music
- two Algerian wives who insulted in French for at least hour

We tried to scream even with all the strength we had in the lungs:
"OH NO MORE!" but no one listened.
Here we are in today.
This morning we are exhausted but excited to get to our new accommodation, perhaps the definitive one.
arrived, and we go there to welcome Zed, one of our roommates.
An adorable cat. Zed
we immediately took a liking and keeps us company, but, speaking in English, we put the record straight immediately establishing who is boss. Us.
At this point we begin to clean and organize our room, unpack our clothes, now reduced to rags, after days and days rolled in a suitcase.
While we finish the last things, with Zed bouncing around us happy, do check out our friend on the bed
"What is that yellow stain?"
Quell'adorabile little bastard there was pissed on bed. Welcome
here, Italians.

Blender And Grinder Compare Difference

Day 3 - The drummer boy - Update - Day 1

Buying a Three sim may be more difficult than expected, or perhaps understanding whistles for flasks may be some misunderstandings ... Three of the dock in the store in Victoria Station. After trying with some effort to make ourselves understood, we are told to go down and buy the sim card in a machine gun sim for a pound. Yes, you read that right ... a machine that distributes sim card. As absurd as unreal. Even if we seek in vain for half an hour. Oh, and the station is as large as a stadium. However, we did not understand anything! Returning again to ask explanations, we are told to go down in Super Drugs, a store that sells really useless products, like our culmination.
The order, very kind, it is more amazed us about the fact that the store has not sold a sim, and we recommend that an Indian shop within walking distance. Finally we can buy it there and recharged. Oh, and unlike Italy, there is no data, pay and give you the package with the sim. We tried to make things right, but just go foul in the first gave you the shop in India and unceremoniously.

decide, in a fit of arrogance and confident in my brilliant skills of understanding, call an operator to configure Internet. The first questions I get by with some difficulty and after a few "Can you speak slowly?", "Can you repeat?" to respond. But the last question, after asking several times to repeat, with sweaty hands as I could, as a good Italians brutally jot down the phone. Maybe we did not understand well because of traffic noise ... The operator, however, not content with not knowing what kind of people had to do, and reminds us, always answering "yes", "yeah" and "ok" we can end this useless phone call. A minute later, trying to set it up without help, we succeed.
At this point, we decide to turn a bit 'in the area and if we end up in the National Army Museum. Four floors of the museum where some wearing uniforms, even women. This would also a photographic document, but the image was stolen too move, so you will not enjoy Rocco's version in English nurse. Trying
all toys for children, we encounter a quiz with which we can discover the career that we could have done in the British nineteenth century
- I would have become a private soldier, foot soldier who has spent all his pay for food and uniform
- Rocco could even aspire to "drummer boy", the boy with the drum

The test is surely reliable, Rocco has indeed the characteristics required for the job:
- has a height less than 5.8 feet, which is measured accurately on a panel used for this purpose
- not a penny in my pocket

If we reject the Information Technology London, We are still ready for a career in the army of His Majesty the Queen.

Rocco, the drummer boy to conquer London.

Updated:

again for a stroll to Victoria Station (famous tourist resort in London for fetishists meters) we encounter a strange machine.

We approach with great amazement and we realize that we really understood the man of Three Indian-English.

Make Yogurt With Worms

- Balls to London Bridge

There are trivial things to organize and to detail the important things, clumsily, are omitted.
One of these is, for example, how to get the accommodation you have booked from the airport, relying on your keen sense of direction and various electronic gadgets with GPS you back.
If we add to this the fact of traveling in two large trolley with 3 to 20 kg, 2 small and 2 trolley bags for a simple portable navigation can become a business. Add the fact of not understanding what a bat you are told. In at Gatwick Airport
explored some possibilities:

- taxi to 70 pounds
- easyBus to 21 pounds to Victoria Station
- up to a train station in downtown

A very kind lady of the money we should change to get to the bus station (South Terminal) + train, "Because is the cheapest way." Satisfied and happy to buy the train ticket, but the problem is that we do not understand well what train to take .... Took the first that passed on that track, we know, asking someone to be direct to London Bridge.
I went down to the station, huge, sweating profusely after the trolley to move between flights of stairs, we decided to end our suffering and we take a taxi that takes us by 13 pounds (well spent!) destination.
During our grueling travel with luggage I was insulted several times for not having listened to advice from a wise old man told me, "binds the two together so small trolley take them better." We would have avoided dropping trolley around every two minutes. In the end, I opted for a solution that is a little 'nerd, but that helped us ... tie them together with a USB cable very tacky. They arrange.

Blender And Grinderdifference

Why leave?

We know, decide to leave and change radically Life is not easy. It 's a very difficult decision, which comes little by little, and before you think about it every now and then a little' more often, until you feel after an opportunity not to be missed.
- If I do not now that I'm young when I do it? - Well, this is the question I ask myself more often, and did not want to have regrets urges me not to abandon my idea, even in difficult times.
Of course it takes a bit of madness. You leave the certain for the uncertain.
Are you ready to give up, or at least have to disperse by force of circumstances, your emotional connections? And your habits? Your space, things that you own?
I love Italy, leaving some remote corners breathless, the city filled with wonderful works of art, beaches for all tastes. And the food, universally appreciated. And all that I have not mentioned.
But the mentality, the mentality we want to talk? In the work we try to do the minimum to stay afloat, the ambition is usually expressed powerful looking hooks. Of course there are exceptions, sometimes excellent, but this context unhealthy forces to double the sacrifices. And it should be the other way, the exceptions should be the negative examples, not positive ones.
I do not want to undergo this mentality first and finish with the adapter and then become an integral part of this system. Before you resign
I groped other roads. Leaving is one of those.
